What originally began in 1972 as an educational translation company in Japan, DHC (standing for Daigaku Honyaku Center) made its foray into skincare when a visionary Japanese entrepreneur had the idea to create superior skincare products utilizing organic olives. For over 40 years, DHC has fused the latest science with traditional botanicals in a quest to revolutionize modern skincare.

DHC is also a pioneer company in the dietary supplement industry. When Japan officially introduced laws on functional food products in 1991, in 1995 DHC began producing and launching a line of pills to support health care and beauty. After only 7 years, DHC has become the company with the leading revenue in the field of dietary supplements through e-commerce channels in the Japanese market.

Concept

Wabi-sabi is a lifestyle that does not direct us to perfection, advising us to accept what we have, which may be imperfect, and find the beauty hidden in it. This philosophy is applied in productions made from natural ingredients of DHC.
From that, the graphic element have inspiration from “ridges” – a natural beauty that comes from the lines do not follow the rules and imperfect. It honors the values that the brand brings to users, and the natural ingredients. We want to help you and people everywhere, feel beautiful and confident in our own skin.
